18k Solid Gold Antique Necklace c. 1900 long_guard_chain this locket remains in veryCrafted in the late Victorian period, c. 1890, this is my all time favorite style of specialty chain. The chain is hallmarked with an eagle head and a rhino head, guaranteeing at least 18k gold purity. It features round medallions which are flanked on both sides by teardrop shaped links. The interiors are filled with lovely filigree embellishments. The central design is is connected to navette link with interior twisted pillars. I could ruminate on
