My wife and I had recently been through a stretch of very difficult years. Our restaurant business had failed in 2014 forcing us into personal bankruptcy and we had moved and switched jobs several times before landing in Windsor. Both of us worked hard and saved as much as we could, but it seemed like it was never going to be enough and that the dream of owning our own home was always going to be out of reach.
